After weeks of intense speculation and rumours, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has finalised the selection of two senior army officers as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC)، keep reading >>>>

Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa

Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa was something of a dark horse in this race for the post of COAS.
He is currently serving at the GHQ as Inspector General of Training and Evaluation — the position Gen Sharif held before becoming army chief — he has commanded the 10 Corps, the army’s largest, which is responsible for the area along the Line of Control (LoC).
Lt Gen Bajwa has extensive experience of handling affairs in Kashmir and the northern areas of the country. As a major general, he led the Force Command Northern Areas. He also served in the 10 Corps as lieutenant colonel, where he was GSO.

Despite his extensive involvement with Kashmir and northern areas, he is said to consider extremism a bigger threat for the country than India.
Lt Gen Bajwa has served with a UN mission in Congo as a brigade commander alongside former Indian army chief Gen Bikram Singh, who was also there as a division commander.
He has previously also remained the commandant of the Infantry School in Quetta.
His military colleagues say he is not attention-seeking and remains well-connected with his troops.
“He is extremely professional, but very easy-going and full of compassion,” an officer who had served under him said, adding that he was not protocol-minded either. Gen Bajwa is also said to be an apolitical person without any biases.
He is from the infantry’s Baloch Regiment, which has given three officers to the post of army chief — Gen Yahya Khan, Gen Aslam Beg and Gen Kayani.

Lt Gen Zubair Hayat

Lt Gen Zubair Hayat is from the artillery and the serving Chief of General Staff (CGS).
As a three-star general, he was previously posted as director general of the Strategic Plans Division (SPD), which is the secretariat of the NCA; and corps commander Bahawalpur. This makes him an ideal choice for the post of CJCSC, who has an almost exclusive jurisdiction over nuclear forces and assets.
His postings as CGS and DG SPD afforded him an opportunity to work very closely with PM Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

During his tenure as a major general, he was general officer commanding (GOC) Sialkot and later headed the Staff Duties (SD) Directorate, whose personnel are commonly known in the army as ‘paper tigers’. His stay at the directorate and his earlier posting as principal staff officer to the army chief brought him closer to Gen Kayani, and he is generally seen as Gen Kayani’s protégé.
Some of those who worked with him describe him as “workaholic” and a “vociferous reader”. He is also said to have a very sharp memory.
Gen Zubair is a second generation officer. His father retired as a major general, while two of his brothers are generals: Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah Chairman Lt Gen Omar Hayat and Inter-Services Intelligence DG (Analysis) Maj Gen Ahmad Mahmood Hayaت.

When the time of Retirement of RS was nearing, it was found that a wave of anti RS propaganda generated all through the social media and electronic media. Now the issue is settled with appointment of new military leadership but the hangover continues. Some very derogatory remarks and pictures were posted which clearly declare this great hero a useless commander and a total failure. A report card has been prepared declaring him grade C with a mark sheet showing him failing in most of the aspects under his command.
تینوں مسلح افواج میں ہم آہنگی، ’جنرل راحیل کا اہم کردار‘

Any one following all the posts and posters very carefully may draw simple conclusions :-
  1. The government and opposition are all aligned to tarnish the image of this great commander. Their fears of his rising up as a political leader or a revolutionary spirit is clearly visible through this massive propaganda.
  2. He has not yet removed his uniform and the fear of his striking back even on his last day is yet another fear that hangs on their heads. Therefore a propaganda campaign at this stage is to reduce the public support in his favour.
  3. A message is probably being communicated to the successors that they have to keep in mind that the public never supports the military commanders against the democratic regimes. Therefore they must not try to do what RS did, a stick up their neck.
  4. The public is being brainwashed against the military leadership by showing RS as a facilitator and supporter of the corrupt rulers. This is also with a design to keep the public disappointed by the military commanders in the future too. The innocent public of Pakistan can be driven by such massive propaganda thus keeping them under a state of depression, which is in favour of the Corrupt rulers.
  5. The next set of military leadership is being brainwashed too, by giving them a message that they have not to be convinced or impressed by the public support or love for them, which is only up to the moment of their retirement. This will psychologically keep the next military commanders under some pressure or discouragement to listen to the public demands.
  6. Last but not the least, as I always say that the rulers only wish to stay in power for a limited three to four years, plunder, loot and then escape under the shadow of a martial law, for which they create good ground. This time the army did not venture and the results were that PPP got shrunk to Sindh, MQM divided and neutralised to a great extent. RS was pushed and lured in to take over by creating solid grounds, but he again did not venture, thus letting the PML(N) continue under a complete plan to meet it's Waterloo by the time it ends it's tenure. The cases in the civil court and military courts are growing and progressing well, which would mean a disaster for the ruling elite soon. This propaganda may also be aimed to ignite the military to intervene and step in. The delay in announcement of the next chief may be a planned move to anger RS and force him to impose Martial Law and help them escape.

All said and done, in my opinion this whole propaganda drive is aimed at destroying the civil military relationship and spoil the image of the army, which was built by RS and/or to push RS to do the action which the Ns desperately need at this point of time.
All the sane and patriotic Pakistanis to please refrain from spreading and sharing such material on the social media, which is so intelligently designed that even the most educated and intellectual people get lured in to share them, some of them only for fun sake.
Dear readers the enemies are all United and geared up to spread disrespect against our most beloved commander RS with a filthy design. This is absolutely unethical to fall pray to such poisoning drives. Please avoid and let RS retire with a smile and honour, with which he served you and the nation in his golden three years.
Please welcome the next chief with a reassurance that the people of Pakistan have absolute trust in the armed forces, so that next chief takes over the command with a high morale and elevated spirit.
Remember, it is only the army that is keeping the nation United and strong amidst the clouds of corruption and the ganged up enemies around us. The political leadership will destroy you totally if you did not stand by your army. Let us be a team. The elimination of the corruption is not far and our success in every matter related to the national up lift and bright future is not far. The army is doing their duties with absolute honesty and devotion, RS has done his job and the next chief is ready to take on from where RS will leaves.
Pakistan Army Zindabad
Pakistan Paindabad.
